    I don't understand this one radio commercial Ron keeps running.

    First, he touts all his great achievements as chair of the PDX school board (which, based on both population and funding, is by far the most significant school board in the state).

    Then, he laments the dismal state of education in Oregon, and says he's the man to fix it.

    Ummm... anyone else see a conundrum here?

    Ron, if you were sooooooo fabulous as chair of the biggest school board in the state, why is the state's school system so sucky?

    To me, this is like Ray Nagin saying "vote for me, because New Orleans needs my proven leadership."
