In jail, if not in hell. I'm not sure why this particular crime struck me so strongly -- perhaps because I have two daughters -- but I hope they spend the rest of their pathetic lives behind bars.

It's not as if they knew anyone was home. Nor did they apparently do anything while in the house. Seems to me like a case of amateur robbers freaking out upon finding actual people inside a house. I can think of a number of things more heinous.
